Resolution

Whereas, The King’s Country Board of Directors has been made aware of a proposed 21% rate increase in electricity rates sought by Southwestern Electric Power Company filed as Case # 37364-2 with the Texas Public Utility Commission.

Whereas, The King’s Country Board of Directors represents the approximately eight hundred and fifty (850)  Property Owners of King’s Country Property Owners Association, a private community on the shores of Lake Cypress Springs In Franklin County, Texas.

Whereas, The Property Owners have expressed their desire for the King’s Country Board of Directors to oppose the requested 21% increase in electricity rates as such a large increase would be detrimental to their business and personal finances. Further more, the Property Owners believe Swepco has failed to provide sufficient information to justify the requested increase in its rates and tariffs.

Therefore, Let it be resolved that the King’s Country Board of Directors opposes the requested rate increase by Southwestern Electric Power Company as listed in Texas Public Utility Commission Docket # 37364-2.
